Community Saving Effort of the Day: Not quite ready to give up on their demands for six seasons and a movie, fans of the recently shelved NBC sitcom Community descended on Rockefeller Plaza today, as promised, to hold a last-ditch flash mob.

Their numbers were reportedly modest, but those who did show up wore evil timeline goatees and sang “O Christmas Troy” like they meant it.

“These fans are not only here but they’re rabid,” one participant is quoted as saying. “Community is one of the smartest and most funny shows on television.”

Then some IRL troll had to ruin the moment by shouting “was!”

But, if tragedy should strike and the show does end up getting canceled, these rabid fans would know the real reason: Community was simply too many streets ahead.
